James Hakim

Pastor Hakim's family on his father's side was converted from nominal Coptic Orthodoxy to Reformed Presbyterianism, early in the 20th century. He is a third generation Presbyterian elder who grew up in Michigan but emigrated to the South to attend seminary at RTS-Jackson. After 15 years in the PCA, he accepted the call to Hopewell and the ARP. He is devoted to seeing Christ glorified in His church through His Spirit's use of the ordinary means of grace daily in the home and week by week in the Lord's Day assemblies. This site (and hopewellarp.org) preserves for others much of his ministry in the Word to the Hopewell congregation and to his wife and eight children.
